Areas of study included marketing, economics, accounting and control, negotiations and conflict resolution, human resource management, business ethics and legal systems, international business relations, and organizational behavior.
Bachelor of Arts, Department of Communication, University of South Florida 1994. Areas of study included communication for video performance and production, mass media communication, rhetorical theory, communication theory, advanced public speaking, and business communication.
EXPERIENCE
2005 – Present Vice President, University Commercial Center.
Provides executive management services to a commercial and retail property district in North Tampa and directs the operations of a privately-held risk lending institution.
2004 – 2005 Director, Business Enterprises, MOSI.
Directed all aspects of the IMAX Dome Theatre operations and MOSI’s retail operations including 3 retail stores, 3rd party business relationships, off-site retail sales, special events and vended products. Developed business plans for additional retail operations to enhance MOSI’s 41,000 square foot “Kid’s In Charge!” expansion.
1996 – 2004 Theatre Marketing & Operations Manager, MOSI.
Managed the overall promotion and operation of Florida’s only IMAX Dome Theatre, including establishing promotional sponsorships, film selection and contract negotiation, directing and analyzing market trend research, establishing theatre policies and procedures, supervision and evaluation of 20 employees, budgeting, purchasing, equipment operation and maintenance, guest services, cash control procedures, and food service management.
1995 – 1996 Education Program Manager, MOSI.
Developed and implemented interactive science demonstrations to compliment museum exhibits and managed grant funded educational programs. Responsible for the direct supervision of 15 employees.
1991 – 1994 Production Studio Coordinator, University of South Florida.
Produced educational videos for faculty, scheduled a/v equipment for instructional use, supervised the operation of two video production studios, researched and recommended purchase of all studio equipment, contracted maintenance of all equipment.
1992 – 1993 Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, University of South Florida.
SPC 4930 “Performance for Video” Instructed 30 students each semester in the use of video production equipment and theories of video production. Assisted instructors with examination composition and student evaluation.
