This year I was “hired” by the Lion Club to carry their social krewe called “Ye Notorious Krewe of the Roaring Lions.”
As you will see they have an Indiana Jones theme.
So the lovely WG and I donned our fedoras and carried the krewe through the parade route in M35-style.
This video is mostly of the Lions . . . I will be making a cut that has more of the other “sights.”
The local team was playing . . . the World Something-or-other.
You know you have gad a full weekend when you have to go to work to get some rest.
Homecoming 2008 was a blast . . . I put the Army truck in the parade along with a group of Jeeping friends. After the parade EvilE and I went to my M.B.A. class reunion. (An expensive sound system was in the back of the truck and I did not want to leave it unattended . . . so I just hopped the curb and drove the truck up to the front doors of the business building. I always know how to make an entrance.)
USF won the homecoming game on Saturday – afterwards we went to Lenny’s home to play poker, bbq, and watch the start of the Rays game.
Sunday was “Sporting Goods Acquisition Day.” EvilE got a spinner bike, I got a bowling ball and a new set of K2 in-line skates . . . the balance of the day was spent using said devices, and trying to help someone with a flat tire on their Lexus (it was too low to the ground to get my jack under it . . . and the day before the driver removed his jack from his vehicle . . . I am not sure why.
The night was wrapped up with steaks, a hot-tub and a baseball game on TV.
It seems I have figured out the solution to Tampa’s drought problem.
Handing $7 to the car wash attendant makes it rain.
Neat.
EvilE and I are back from N.C.
